Supporter Email Templates for Launching a Giving Program

A giving program invitation should explain the purpose, the financial commitment, and the next step. These four templates help your team introduce a round-up program and follow up without assuming that every supporter wants the same way to give.

Replace every bracketed field before sending. Confirm the final wording against your program’s actual terms. Send enrollment reminders only to appropriate contacts who have not already joined, and honor communication preferences.

For a plain-language explanation your team can draw on, read what round-up giving is and how it works.

Template 1: The launch invitation

Subject: A new way to support [organization]

Hi [first name],

Your support helps [organization] [specific description of its work]. We’re introducing another way to take part: [program name].

Through this optional round-up program, eligible purchases are used to calculate small contributions for [organization]. For example, a $14.25 eligible purchase would generate a $0.75 round-up.

Those contributions are funded by you and collected according to the program terms. Before you join, you can review [collection timing, any initial contribution or minimum, fees, and available limits or controls] on our program page.

If this fits the way you want to give, explore the details here:

You can also continue supporting our work through [other giving options]. We’re grateful for the way you choose to participate.
